WebDec 20, 2024 · Don't wish to appear pedantic, but the 1951 version of the Dickens story, with Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge, was called "A Christmas Carol", which is the title of the Dickens story, and not "Scrooge". I thought the 'star' of the film was Michael Hordern as Marley. And I agree that the b&w original has far more atmos than the colorized version.
