This adjustment will maximize power throughout the RPM range and increase the useable top end by 200 - 300 RPM. Web11 de out. de 2011 · You adjust this lifter with .025 preload and run with it. I have a set of these lifters going into a 496 build. I'm going to use more seat pressure, 175 l.b.s., open pressure will be around 440 l.b.s. Hydraulic rollers, IMO, are perfect for an engine that never sees over 5500-5700 and that's what I use them for. They will go for 100,000 miles on factory vehicles (look at the Ford 5.0L for example). When it comes time to lash them, they need to be adjusted to within 0.010 of bottoming out. That means you will lash at about 0.014-0.016 at the rockers.

To adjust VALVE LASH ON MECHANICAL (solid) LIFTER CAMS, follow the same basic procedure as above. Instead of lifter pre-load and zero lash, use the valve lash specs printed on your Lunati cam spec card.

Restarted the motor and it ran smooth for about 10 minutes and then started misfiring.
